This Limited Edition is part of a special distillation of pure pot still Single Malt Irish Whiskey distilled and matured to relaunch "The Tyrconnell", one of the most famous 19th century Irish whiskey brands.
Using specially selected oak casks this whiskey has gently matured in the 200-year-old granite warehouse in the old Lockes distillery in Kilbeggan. Specially selected by Cooley's master blender this choice bottling of Tyrconnell has been limited to 5,000 specially numbered bottles. Each numbered bottle is accompanied by a Certificate to verify its uniqueness.

Noel Sweeny, the Lockes master Blender, has carefully selected a small number of casks to produce this truly unique offering.
Distilled in pots in the Cooley Mountains, casked in oak and aged in the old Lockes distillery in Kilbeggan. For the connoisseur, this single malt pulses with taste. This premium bottling of Lockes Malt has been limited to 5,000 bottles. A signed numbered certificate adds to its mystique and occasion.
In
the middle of Ireland tens of thousands of oak casks rest peacefully in
a 200-year-old granite warehouses. In the casks, quality Irish whiskey
ages gracefully creating the unique characteristics sought by connoisseurs.
The casks are watched and mind. The casks are tapped to detect leaks, nosed to test the aroma and the whiskey tasted to experience the maturation of the flavour. Noel Sweeny, Lockes master blender, has the privlege of having this job.
Sometimes Noel finds a special cask the contents of which have aged superbly. These casks stand out on their own. They are marked out for special bottling. This is one such bottling.
Rare malt from a few special casks aged in a specific part of the warehouse makes up this limited edition of 1000 bottles.
